We advise that you visit the building before booking an event so you can see the space and meet the team, it’s also a great time to ask any questions about set-up.
After confirming the date and time with our Community Team, either in person, by phone or email, you'll promptly receive confirmation via our booking system, Fresha. To secure your booking, a 30% deposit is required with the remaining balance payable on the day of hire.
You will then be asked to provide relevant insurance documents and provide any information that will help the team to prepare for your visit. If you require a Licence for the activities you are carrying out you will need to contact Glasgow City Council as we're unable to initiate contact on your behalf but we can provide information.

Yes, a 30% deposit must be paid upon booking to secure the rental and our booking system will hold your card details.
The remaining balance must be paid on the day of the booking, we can charge the remainder to your card on the day but will confirm this with you first.

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. This policy is in place to accommodate the admin involved in processing room bookings.

Absolutely, you can do either but the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you cancel your booking we will retain your deposit. If you have already paid the full amount this will be refunded to you minus the deposit.
If you reschedule your booking we will retain your deposit and re-charge another. If you have already paid the full amount this can be transferred over but we will need to take another deposit to hold that date.

House of NAF! are not responsible for providing clients or attendees for any services, events, workshops or masterclasses hosted in our space, but we will share the event with our network of residents, clients and customers.
We'll feature your event on our website's 'What's On' section and may share it on our social media stories and roundups, but we can't promise to drum up extra buzz or guarantee ticket sales. Our space tends to work best for businesses that already have a solid customer/client base or guest list for this reason.
It’s important to note that we don't have much passing trade and our clients typically have set appointments, so if you're looking to build your clientele through our footfall or social media platforms this may not be the ideal venue for you.

You will need to hold Public Liability and/Professional Indemnity Insurance to host an events and services, we will ask for these during the booking but you can also upload your insurance documents here.
Insurance Documents
We do not hold a premises licence to serve alcohol so you will need to apply for an Occasional Licence to serve alcohol at your event.

If there is any monetary transaction associated with the event then Licensing laws require an Alcohol Licence.

An Occasional Licence costs £10 and needs to be done no less than 4 weeks before the event
The Snug & has been cleared by Environmental Health but we are unable to hold a licence due to Glasgow City Council (GCC) regulations. A personal skin piercing & tattooing licence won’t extend to our premises and everyone has to apply for their own licence at House of NAF!, even if you have one elsewhere.
This process can take 6 weeks so bear that in mind when booking & announcing your first day with us, as you will have to reschedule & may lose your deposit if you haven’t been approved. This process will only need to be done once before your first day with us and then you can be as flexible as you like after that.
Skin Piercing & Tattooing Licence

✶ STAGE 1 ✶
You will need to apply for a licence with the Council, the cost is £340 and it needs to be paid at the time of submission. This licence will last 3 years. You can also pay £160 for a temporary licence that lasts 6 weeks.On the application please ensure your working hours say Monday - Sunday, 8am - 11pm, you may not be working these days or hours but this will ensure your licence covers any eventuality. You will need to place your home address on the application as well as our director’s details, we will provide these to you on request.
Once you’ve submitted your application, we can email our contact to ask for feedback.
✶ STAGE 2 ✶
Once your application has been accepted you will be sent a notice, you’ll need to forward that so we can display it for 21 days before your first day.✶ STAGE 3 ✶
Once GCC have approved it then it will be passed over to Environmental Health, who will ask to visit the premises and see your set-up before your chosen date. Please bear in mind that you will need to travel to us before your first day to do this.

Once you have a date organised with us and EH for the visit you will need to provide & prep these things:

Once EH have approved the set-up and your licence is granted you can work with us, yay!
Good to Know

We are located in an old Victorian townhouse with stairs both at the entrance and inside the building, making us inaccessible for wheelchair users. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
While we've made efforts to improve and continue to strive for enhanced accessibility, significant changes to the building are not feasible, and our current facilities may not meet all needs.
Please be aware that the Studio and Snug are situated on the top floor, so when booking rooms, kindly consider guests with accessibility requirements.

You will need public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance for the service/event.
If you are piercing skin in any way you will need a Skin Piercing & Tattooing Licence.
If you want to serve alcohol you may need an Occasional Licence.
If you are serving food you won’t need a licence but you will only be able to serve cold food, we cannot serve hot food on the premises.

Your set up & breakdown time is included in the hire times so please keep this in mind when booking.
we are happy to arrange the setup of the room according to your specifications, please note that you are responsible for loading in and cleaning up your own equipment and belongings.
The room must be left in its original condition, and any excessive rubbish must be properly disposed of. Please ensure that no additional items are left behind.
We’ll be on hand to greet your guests at reception, but if you require someone to handle specific responsibilities we recommend bringing along an additional person for that purpose

While you are welcome to provide cold foods and non-alcoholic beverages, we regret to inform you that serving alcohol or hot food is not permitted. However, guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages (BYOB).
Should you wish to offer alcoholic drinks, you may obtain an Occasional Licence from Glasgow City Council. Please ensure this is arranged at least 4 weeks before the event and provide proof to us. Please ask a member of our team for more information.
Salon Chair Rental
Our stunning, East-Facing salon gets beautiful light all day long thanks to our huge, gorgeous windows. Complete with hand washing facilities, individual storage and custom built pedicure station, this is the perfect space for any nail technician, makeup artist or brow tech to rent a chair in the city centre.

The Snug
Nestled on the top floor of our gorgeous townhouse, The Snug provides privacy and tranquility, allowing your clients and guests to relax and unwind during their visit.
Whether you’re a lash technician, tarot card reader or masseuse, this space is a blank canvas. It may be small, but it’s warm, cosy and perfect for 1-1’s.

Hosting your event at House of NAF! is the perfect way for brands to meet and connect to their audience and customers in Glasgow and is also available for full day hire for events with nail techs available to hire too. You can also tap into our local network of caterers, florists and entertainment to ensure the place looks amazing.

We class a Full Building rental as anything that will require the use of 2+ rooms, our waiting areas and our team.
The Salon can only be booked out on a Sunday or a Monday due to chair rental contracts we have in place, but if you don’t want to use this room we can be flexible and still provide nail services.

Terms & Conditions
Renting, Deposits, and Payments
The Salon, The Classroom, The Snug, and The Study:
To secure a booking for any of the aforementioned rooms, the lessee shall pay 30% of the full rental amount as a deposit at the time of booking through the platform Fresha
The remaining balance of the rental amount can be paid on the day of the rental. However, if you do not show or cancel your booking, your card will be on file and will be charged the full amount. We will confirm this with you first.
If deposit is not received at least 14 days prior to rental, your booking is at risk of being released to the next person on the waiting list.
The room must be cleaned, tidied and left as it was found upon departure.
The Salon:
To secure a booking for The Salon, the lessee shall pay 30% of the full rental amount as a deposit at the time of booking through the platform Fresha.
The remaining balance of the rental amount shall be paid no later than 30 days prior to the agreed-upon start date of the room rental.
If final instalment is not received at least 30 days prior to rental, your booking is at risk of being released to the next person on the waiting list.
Cancellations
The Classroom, The Snug, and The Study:
Deposit made to secure the room rental for the date you have booked out are non-refundable and non-transferrable regardless of cancellation date.
Cancellations must be made no later than 14 days prior to the agreed-upon start date of the room rental.
The Salon:
All cancellations for The Salon must be made no later than 30 days in advance of the agreed-upon start date of the room rental.
The deposit made to secure the room rental is non-refundable
Please note that these terms and conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between House of NAF! and the lessee. By proceeding with the booking, the lessee acknowledges and agrees to abide by these terms and conditions in their entirety. House of NAF! reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes shall be effective immediately upon posting the updated terms and conditions on the House of NAF! website or other relevant platforms.
